“PETROSTOCKS 2007: New Perspectives” will provide a forum for participants from stockpiling entities worldwide to meet and share ideas on technical, economic and financial issues facing the international oil stockholding community. This symposium is an opportunity for a lively discussion of recent events, notably the 2005 hurricanes, market disruptions and continued high oil prices.

Who Should Attend?

Government officials and representatives of various organizations which manage emergency petroleum stockpiles or anticipate developing stockpiles should attend. Directors of commercial facilities providing storage as well as consultants and academic officials involved in petroleum stockpiling are also strongly encouraged to attend.

Site Tour

Participants will have an exclusive opportunity to tour a U.S. petroleum storage site on the last day of the symposium. Advance clearance is required. Round trip transportation will be provided.

New Orleans is the home of the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve Project Management Office and is centrally located among major U.S. oil and gas activities. The New Orleans French Quarter and Garden District have retained their charm and have been revitalized since Hurricane Katrina.
